Artist’s Statement

My work is meant to be fun for me to make as well as fun for viewers to enjoy. My art project has a lighthearted nature and is not to be taken too seriously. This is because I want it to be an escape or distraction from the reality of life. Ultimately, I will feel accomplished if someone is entertained by my creation(s).

While everything that I make will not be for self-gratification, I gravitate more towards that which does because I feel the end product will be all the more effective. Although I do enjoy making and consuming comedic art pieces, I also enjoy art that I find interesting or fantastical. Sci-Fi and fantasy are two more big inspirations of mine. Though I want my pieces to look a certain caliper sometimes intentionally cheesy adds to my desired effect.

I enjoy the media of the 80’s perhaps even idealize it. This love for the way the content was presented, and its creation help shape my own work. I am not sure if I have one preferred medium. I have enjoyed using various mediums to make my art. Some of these include animations, graphic designs, and more traditional art like ink paintings.
